Amelia has been playing with Valeo for less than a year but this 2007 standout is loving her time with the club. "It has been great so far. I can't wait to continue to keep playing for the club!" We sat down (virtually) and fired off a few questions. Here is what Amelia had to say!
What is your favorite moment with Valeo?
My proudest moment at Valeo was going through the tryout process and overcoming my nerves. Then two weeks later, getting an email that I made the Power team. I was proud because I know that all of those girls at that tryout loved soccer as much as I do.
What challenges have you overcome?
Conquering the nerves of joining a new team.
What are your soccer goals?
In order to become the strongest player that I can be I plan to work hard and keep playing so I will be able to play at the college level.
Favorite coach & professional player?
Brian- DUH!!! And as for a player, I love the way Tobin Heath plays the game.
During this COVID-19 downtime, Amelia is keeping active by running, practicing moves with her brother in the back yard, and watching soccer games on TV. Her favorite soccer move is a stepover but "anything that gets me around the defender." That's what we like to hear!
