Andy is heading into his second season with Valeo F.C! We are extremely impressed with his dedication and the hard work he brings to the club. Each and every day Andy is striving to be like his favorite professional player Kevin De Bruyne!
We sat down with Andy virtually to see what he's been up to!
What is your favorite moment with Valeo?
"My proudest Valeo moment was beating Ginga (5-4) in the futsal league finals this winter to win the league championship."
What are your soccer goals?
"My soccer goals are to be the best that I can be and to play at the highest levels that I can play. I love playing soccer and want it to be a part of my life for as long as possible."
What challenges have you overcome?
"In the last two years, I have overcome an avulsion fracture to my knee, a broken big toe and a concussion. I went to physical therapy to help my knee heal for months where I learned that I enjoyed working out and training in a gym. I had to site on the sideline and watch a lot as I healed from those injuries and that was very hard."
Favorite Valeo Coach?
"Eric Parada"
During this COVID-19 downtime, Andy has been keeping in touch with Coach Eric and following his training instructions, running 5Ks 2 or 3 times per week, doing his own strength, speed and agility workouts several times per week and working with a soccer ball daily to improve his touch on the ball.. Keep up the good work!
