Valeo F.C. Hosts Charity Match With Oliver White Foundation

Newton, MAOn August 30th, the Valeo Young Gunz took on the Oliver White Foundation in a 7v7 charity match at the Valeo F.C. facility. More than a dozen footballers competed this past weekend to raise money for the charities Build Africa and Boston Scores. In addition, all players brought school supplies to donate to schools in Jamaica, Cape Verde, and Haiti.

Build Africa is an African charity dedicated to using the power of education to end poverty. Through building schools, providing classroom resources and offering clean water, the foundation provides African children with the education they need to fight the inequalities that stand in their way.

The mission of Boston Scores is to provide urban youth with team-based education programs that promote health and well-being, academic engagement, and civic leadership. By partnering with the Boston Public School teachers, they are able to provide urban youth in grades K-12 with after-school soccer & enrichment programs.
